SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Tourists and residents who drive electric vehicles will find a new amenity in Seaside Heights after the borough installed six charging stations for the vehicles in the downtown area.

That investment was met by boos in Alberta, where the government said the money won’t solve the key problem of getting its oil transported to buyers, and jeers from environment groups that said investing in fossil fuels at all is contrary to Canada’s global climate-change commitments.

McKenna called the need for Canadian companies to find ways to meet the new rules an economic opportunity.

A 3MW solar farm built to help power South32’s Cannington is now supplying the silver, lead and zinc mine with renewable electricity alongside an existing gas plant.

Lynne Ramsay’s remarkable “You Were Never Really Here” is a postmodern action movie obsessed with dissecting the psychological toll violence has taken on its main character, Joe (a never-better Joaquin Phoenix), than with the violent acts themselves. Joe is a war veteran suffering from PTSD and assigned to rescue a young girl from a high-end prostitution ring. The mission allows Ramsay to meditate on the nature of violence and deliver the kind of bruising and visceral character study that rattles the viewer to their core. “You Were Never Really Here” runs 89 minutes and is hardly graphic, and yet most people leave thinking they’ve watched one of the most violent films of the decade.
